I have a problem! - I'm afraid the danish postal service has botched two packages I was supposed to receive. What can i do?

Can I contact the Postal Office to ask where my packages are? - or should I wait for the companies in the States and UK to get the packages back and then pay for re-shipping. Surely somebody must have had similar problems?
... My basic assumption is that the Danish Postal Service can't track packages to an individual since they have no IT-system to support this - I am right in that assumption?
